Becoming Unbecoming

Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s unbecoming everything that isn’t you so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.” -unknown

This quote hit me like a ton of bricks. Maybe during this time in my life, I was searching for purpose.

The truth is, I was secretly searching for MY purpose. I've always felt like there was something more, ...something bigger. Have you ever wanted more?

How To Get More?

Edit! Edit! Edit! Let's start at the beginning. Who were you meant to be? What are you passionate about? If you could, what job would you do for free? These are your typical "purpose" questions. Therefore, I want you to consider these questions at ages 10, 18 or 21. I know this sounds like a crazy idea. At first, I thought so too! Then I started thinking, I've read books, watched videos and even completed quizzes in magazines and online. Only to end up no closer to My Purpose, it seemed as though I was searching for my soulmate! Then I remembered I should edit everything from birth to adulthood. Our mind records every spoken and unspoken word from birth to the present. Those words shape the way we think, the way we look at life, how we respond to life and who we are. Once I discovered this, I started peeling back the layers and deleting all negative responses, opinions, and suggestions. During this process, I found what I wanted, what I wanted to do and how it would satisfy me.

Now it's your turn...

Just like finding a soulmate, you have to know what you want, what you don't want and how it will it satisfy you.

I knew I wanted something more, something bigger, ... I wanted to fulfill my destiny.

Unbecoming means to strip away, undo or remove.

What will you strip away, undo or remove to find YOU and fulfill your DESTINY!
